It's been said repeatedly that LLMs are designed to essentially be optimally sycophantic. I've also seen it said that "regularly interacting with an LLM is the closest most of us will get to being a billionaire who people are afraid to contradict or impede" and we see how THOSE guys act.
Mike RiversoHis statement makes it clear that his family had a literal intervention with him. Which, honestly, points to the fact that heavy AI is essentially a drug. I honestly hope this story serves to highlight that fact for other people too deep in it.
