Finally got around to reading this. Have also begun to find the first-gen RX quite handsome recently, and the ones that are still around seem no worse for wear for their years. Proper early-days Lexus, just a bit taller.

Well that was a crappy journey. Some absolutely lousy drivers around, and narrowly avoided an accident joining the M40 when the car in front decided to join the carriageway early, and then decided not to when a lorry beeped at them and they swung back towards me as I was going past.

The A34 is definitely one of my least favourite roads in the country. It's like all of Oxford's car hate leaks along it by capillary action.

As I have to imagine there are people on here following me for whom the hobbies trains and gaming intersect, I can recommend A Bumpy Ride as a recent release you'll probably like. Cosy train driving/exploration/upgrading game that ticks the chill-out and happy eyeballs boxes.

Quite relieved I'm still not missing mine, which means I think I made the right decision selling it. Been too preoccupied with the two Mazdas too, and given this summer's warmth, I daresay I'd have driven the AC-equipped MX-5 much more than the Peugeot anyway.

Went to find the interview I mentioned here, from February 2001, and there's this snippet in it. Wild to think that not only would Schumacher more than double his tally at the time (91 in total), but Vettel, Verstappen, and Hamilton have all surpassed Prost since the turn of the century.

Autocar had a feature when this was new where they had Schumacher drive one around Mugello in a break during F1 testing. Was a fun interview. Always preferred the regular Sporting though without the Abarth kit's intakes and skirts. The swirly wheels were cool too.
