That would be very cool! But it does look like a lot of work

I had this idea to do a series of short lessons on learning probabilistic programming (with Stan etc), based on the Zen "Ten Bulls": 1 search 2 discovery 3 perception 4 capture 5 taming 6 riding 7 goal forgotten 8 self forgotten 9 back to the start 10 teaching. Would take some work to develop though

This was my thought, when I saw the post Marc refers too: I am glad you can be so confident something is AI, because most of the time I can't be sure (outside of maybe a few obvious cases). Marc's thread makes good points beyond this one

1) Great strategy if you are so smart as to have a rate of false positives be near zero. For the rest of us, it remains difficult to detect AI writing with any good degree of confidence. Not even AI can do that; we're dealing with a technology that manages to outdo itself from month to month. 2/

The anti-AI people in there sound unhinged

jesus this hank green ai drama is so sad and bleak, the dude is using AI in extremely sane and safe and reasonable ways, and so many of his fans are just on a purity crusade over it here’s a recent reddit post and hank’s reply

I agree with this, but I am also enough of a realist to know that many of us will not be radically skeptical of our significant results, so we all should also stay radically skeptical of the results of others

Daniel de Kadt

If I could encourage one thing in my fellow academics, it’s this: resist the temptation to “stop when things look good.” You don’t know the answer to your research question, that’s presumably why you do research. Be radically skeptical of your work, your tools, and yourself.
