I love to learn, ideally not the hard way but I’ll take what I can get. She/her/hers

I'm not a trad wife I just cook a lot (and garden and occasionally sew, but also manage the finances, home repair/remodel contractors, and all auto maintenance and repairs) is closer to mine

just sang "I'm not a trad wife I just cook a lot" in a Big Pun voice while pickling onions if you want to narrow in on my exact demographic

Yes, that's how it works. My taxes care for roads that I'll never drive on. Taxes are your civic duty. This is a good thing because it is much more equitable that my taxes pay to subsidize food than to line the pockets of Kroger stockholders. A tangible good.

USA TODAY Opinion

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

I mean, I'm sure the people doing this work would love to be paid more. This is so gross that I can't stand it. While these people siphon of our land, our wealth, our health, our very lives, now they're going to tell us what we must do with our lives?

President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v

Not only was it scary, but these were the hardest days of my life and I think irreparably damaged my relationship with my parents. While I’d had to care for my sister (11 years younger), they didn’t want to help with my kids because they needed to vacation. I’ll never forgive them.

I have no idea what to do with this Covid revisionism. It feels like the bad kind of group therapy where you help each other ignore facts. We don't have to go *that* far back in the social media timelines to prove how fucked up it was. We were so scared we were scrubbing eggs and baking the mail.

I feel like we’re the only people in America that don’t talk to our computers. I’m not chatting with a bot because I talk to people. I’m not telling my TV what to do, I use the controller. I keep hearing people are lonely. Do I have a remedy for them, and it’s not a computer.

100 years, and they were still young. 75 years and you're talking about an elementary school teacher and a mechanical engineer working for the gas company (Detroit). Neither is a bad way to go.

Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?
