Same. I also threw away my last CD player years ago but thankfully still have my entire CD collection. He’s inspired me to buy a new one. I have some old vinyl too but CDs for me were always the ideal middle ground. There’s a physical product, an album sleeve (albeit small) & a sense of occasion.

Ha, yes. Although Oxford more likely to do so than Cambridge in my experience. Reminds me of my dear 95 yr old Asian and status-minded mother who once told her family in Singapore that I was studying at Oxford. I was at Warwick. When I confronted her about it she said "Well, it's near Oxford."

Thanks. It's like a 1970s British comedy sketch based on toilet humour. The poor fella appears to have almost no control of his back end but otherwise is absolutely fine - bright eyes, bushy tail, loads of energy. I am, though, getting a little fed up of clearing it up!

True but I worry about rugby's direction of travel. The game is under significant pressure - financial, safety etc etc. The latest outburst from Eddie Hearn demanding a £1m salary for Henry Pollock doesn't help either. Rugby is very different to the other sports he and his father are involved in.

Years ago I was at an agency that ran a high profile campaign for the NHS that ran into a GDPR issue. He rang the office demanding to speak to me. I didn't like him so I ignored him. He kept calling, I kept ignoring. The following Sunday he called me a 'weasel' in his column. Quite proud of it.

I had a flatmate who got convinced by another salesman that he should sell penny shares. It was real boiler room stuff and, I suspect, highly dodgy if not illegal. He was like the Alec Baldwin character, watch and all.

They popularised the term 'carbon footprint' which was a cynical strategy to put the blame on consumers & absolve themselves. The 'Beyond Petroleum' re-brand in 2000 was one the most disingenuous green programmes in corporate history. I was a junior at one of the agencies that worked on it.

Only just seen this. Being self-employed usually means inconsistent cashflow and feast or famine, neither of which lend themselves to monthly payments. It will most likely just add both administrative and emotional stress.

He's otherwise bright-eyed and acting pretty much as normal so I am hoping he's just eaten something he shouldn't have but it took me over an hour to clean up his mess this morning and I could do without a repeat tomorrow!

My wife and kids are on holiday and he appears to have decided that domestic terrorism is the order of the day whilst they are away. If he was showing any remorse or acting in a way that suggested he isn't feeling well I'd give him some slack, but he appears to be enjoying it.
