Van life - I've had a pork pie, 2 chocolate biscuits and a glass of champagne for tea. I'm having another glass of champagne for afters.

Mrs Gates. Very high standards. Took no nonsense. Great teacher. Later became the children's author Susan Gates. Did me a school author visit for free.

Van life - he's looking at me like I've spilled his pint.

Van life - big brother approx 10 is telling the tallest tale to little brother. Little brother's eyes are like saucers. He believes every word. Big brother is enjoying the hero worship so much he's offered to go in goal.

Beyond Van Gogh Immersive Experience at the Arena tonight. So beautiful it made me cry. Lying on the floor and becoming part of the exhibition was sublime.

Coal miners. An endless line of them. Pass the pick.

I've just had to reverse off my drive between 2 works pick ups. Didn't cry once.

Well I loved The Odyssey. If you forget Homer and think "Jason and the Argonauts" it's a cracking piece of entertainment.

Odyssey so far - there's plenty of parking and I've got a super comfy seat.

Confessions of a bottle swigger. I've just picked up one of two dark brown bottles in the fridge and had a big glug of ginger beer. Except it wasn't. It was sherry. So now I'm common AND a bit lightheaded.

I've loved the Prog Prom. It was the only one I tried to get tickets for. Can't beat the Crimson King.
