Take a look at this new preprint led by @fanny-wodrascka.bsky.social on tension-driven cell extrusion! Using optogenetics, she studied how tensile stresses can influence fate (alive or dead) and direction (apical or basal) of extruded cells. Happy to have contributed a bit to this nice story!
