No one doubts the role of feedback in movement control. I am sympathetic to Gibson but most of the field seems to be arguing against a ghost -- purity tests and semantics. @earlkmiller.bsky.social's point is mechanistic and worthy of serious study, as is happening no matter how people feel about it.
