Tosca at Glyndebourne this evening, an opera I haven’t seen for a quarter of a century. An extraordinarily powerful production with exemplary attistry from both the cast and the orchestra. It’s one of those operas which nothing quite prepares you for. Utterly relevant to today’s world sadly.

I had hoped to leave the 1957 Invicta Portable Model 30 in original condition but it was barely receiving even the two strong MW stations we still have left in my part of the UK. Now it sounds like it would have to my grandfather when he bought one in the fifties. 😎
