There's a lot to be said about the mentality, the desire to win, and that poor decision to sit back in the second half. They could have handled things much better.

Obvious changes were like-for-like for fresh legs, rather than keeping on tired attackers and dropping deep into a back five. The changes were almost as if they'd had a man sent off again.
I’ve thought about that too; they want that France vs. Argentina rematch, which would generate a lot of money.

Just as France vs Spain is a recognised grudge match (thanks to geography). Which sets it all up for a Mbappé vs Messi final - a wet dream for advertising and merchandise.
The only thing saving England is Bellingham, who has had a good World Cup.
