And what a thing it would be, what a goddamn thing it would be, for the first woman governor since Ann Richards in the early 90s, and the third woman governor in the entire history of Texas, to be a Latina.

Her father was a judge and head of the Texas Dems. She grew up knowing exactly how rough and dirty TX politics can be and chose to do the work anyway. I’m sure we don’t agree on everything but…damn. She would make a good governor.

Just gonna say one more time that when Gina Hinojosa was in the TX lege she graciously met with the activist group of women writers I was part of during Trump 1.0 not once but several times, actively engaging with us and never, ever asking for fundraising efforts.

I guess I should be glad I’m not closer to Mt Hood but yeeeaaah.
