I would vote for a modest raise in congressional salaries if they are prevented from stock trading. Maybe 2.5%? That’s what I got the last raise I had. Should do just about right, don’t cha think?

I am reading #Caste by Isabel Wilkerson. Like the 1619 Project, it lays out systemic racism of African Americans in the USA. It also shows our policy was used as a guidebook for Nazi Germany, and describes the caste system in India. It’s fascinatingly horrific and so very sad. Educate yourself

So while Medicare for all is a good idea, and I agree it is, it still costs money. I chose for a reason Medicare, NOT an Advantage plan, but that was my choice. (Do your own research.) We do bear the cost for the great coverage that is Medicare. It's sacred for Seniors. Don't mess with it! 3/3

And I pay more than $2000 a year for a supplemental policy that covers the 20% that Medicare doesn't pay. While the part D program I have has no monthly cost, I do end up paying out of pocket for many odd off drugs I need as they are not covered. (Some drugs, like a statin are no charge.) 2/3

Most people don't realize that when you have #Medicare, it's not free. While the deductible is low (in 2026 it was $283), I pay approx. $2400 a year, which is deducted from my SS. I actually pay more as my income is higher and I get PENALIZED for that so even more is deducted monthly. 1/3

I’m trying to get the Republican messaging for the midterms straight. Is it: The economy sucks but it’s Biden’s fault and Trump’s tariffs and war has nothing to do with any of it. OR The economy is great, we’re the hottest country in the world, & Trump deserves all the credit.
