(Amanda) Humans are funny things. Some of them love to read about how to grow plants but don't do much gardening. Can you imagine how silly it would be if there were magazines to teach cats how to catch mice? We might enjoy looking at the pictures but then never bother to catch any mice.

(Amanda) Betty asked me to share this poster about Rainbow Day. It's for humans to share photos of their pets. The photos will be in a video which will be shown on 23rd August at Rainbow Day. There is an email address for where to send the photos.

(Maurine) There's no way I would go close to a human if Dreamies were not involved. Betty seems to think that I'm getting a bit tamer but she's wrong. I'm always ready to run off, even if I'm eating. I have bad memories of humans. The humans here are very patient with me and I'm glad aout that.

(Janet) I enjoyed my 2 breakfasts yesterday. One breakfast is usually enough for me but I really fancied another one and luckily Colin got the message. I've heard that many humans never eat breakfast and I feel sorry for them. I think breakfast is important. Do you think so too?

(Amanda) 1 of 2 Do you ever have strange dreams? Betty told me that she dreamed her dogs were still alive and that she also had a cat. This would have been impossible because Vera and Graham really hated cats. In the dream they loved the cat and they all shared a bed.

(Amanda) I'm a very curious cat. Betty says I'm nosey, but I think curious sounds better. I like to know what's going on. It makes life more intersting, doesn't it? What do you think, am I right?

(Maurine) Look how brave I'm getting. Auntie Pip offered me some Dreamies and it would have been rude to refuse. It doesn't mean that I'm ready to be friendly with the humans, but at least it's a start.

(Amanda) It hasn't rainer here for a long time. Betty gave the Memorial Garden a really good watering yesterday. It's been suffering in the heat and a few plants have not survived. I didn't know that could happen. I thought plants just grew. I've got a lot to learn about gardening haven't I?

(Amanda) I love exploring Colin's car. He knows I like it and he is always very careful to check that I get out so he doesn't drive away with me in it. Some cars are very tidy but Colin's car isn't like that. He carries things to do with the allotments in it, it looks more like a shed than a car.

(Amanda) I had a lovely little sleep in the Big Greenhouse yesterday. I know that sleeping on tiny stones doesn't look very comfortable but believe me, it is. I don't think humans would like it but they don't know what they are missing. What do you think? Would you try it?

(Amanda) These are funny things, aren't they? Betty calls them 'glasses' but I think there are other names for them too. Humans put them on their face and they help them to see things better. I don't understand how that can ahppen but lots of humans use them so it must be true.

(Amanda) Uncle Mick has grown these weird plants. The humans seem to like them but I don't know why. I don't think they look very nice and they don't smell of anything. I keep hoping that Betty will grow some more CatNip. Maybe she will read this and sow some seeds for me.

(Amanda) I almost fell asleep on Uncle Mick's lap yesterday. He's never had a cat of his own at home and that's a shame. He's very kind and patient and any cat would be lucky to live with him.

(Janet) I was surprised to see Amanda on my plot because she is usually a bit scared of me. It was nice to have company. It reminded me of when I used to live on Gloria Glover's plot. I think Amanda and I will get used to each other if she keeps visiting me. We might even become friends.

(Amanda) I've never met this human before. I think he liked stroking me but I don't think he was used to cats. To begin with I enjoyed it but it was a different matter when he started on my tummy. I tried to grab his hand but he quickly moved it away. Unfortunately, Betty didn't get a photo.

(Amanda) I spend quite a bit of time just staring at plant pots. I'm hoping that one day I will see the actual moment when a tiny little seedling pops up. Betty doesn't think I will see it because it usually happens at night. I never thought that gardening could be so interesting, did you?

(Amanda) I think I've told you before how much I love a good stretch? I can't explain why I like it so much. I wish Betty would do a bit of stretching, it would do her good. Maybe not on the ground like I do it, she's too ancient for that. But a stretch is a stretch, isn't it?
