I find this macro reflection about why Starmer's departure seemed so inevitable bizarre. He was an abysmal communicator, focused on control and discipline rather than any big policies, he doubled down on all of the worst policies of the Tories after getting a massive mandate to change tack...

I wasn't expecting him to be such a self-pitying loser. But then again literally everything about him has ended up being even worse than I expected.
