Finally watched Nolan’s #Odyssey . As a film 7/10, as an adaptation 6/10. The Cyclops, visit to the Underworld , Agamemnon & archery contest were all very well done but around that was the film Nolan wanted to tell and the two never quite mesh. He never quite captures Odysseus’ polybouros.

Yes, he did dictate and he did stammer, but there is also a lot more snark in HJ than he’s sometimes given credit for.
