I'm just surprised that the Avatar creators had the freedom under pre-Skydance Paramount to choose which medium they went with. I feel like if Skydance wants another Avatar animated film, they'd force the crew to make it CG with no option of 2D.

As someone who has little experience with Avatar, I still HIGHLY recommend checking out Avatar Aang. To me, the animation alone would have been worth the price of a theater ticket alone, but I was also invested in Aang’s survivor guilt, the humor, and the fight scenes.

Glad this merger has a big hurdle, but I won’t celebrate too early. David Ellison is REALLY determined to make this happen (even if they don’t get CNN for midterms). If the ticking fees get as costly as the $7 billion walk-away fee, then they may give up. Still good news.

I’m still holding out hope for Dan Trachtenberg’s Freddy the 13th animated horror film considering how rare animated horror is from Western studios, and it could be the Gen Alpha equivalent of what Monster House, Coraline, and ParaNorman are to Gen Z (a gateway to horror).

Notice how they don’t even reference a popular Johnny Depp movie PARAMOUNT ITSELF OWNS! Then again, I don’t think Rango would want to be associated with this potential stinker. Have Sherlock Gnomes take his place for all I care.
