The rejection I got on my story was “Can’t pass the review” and that’s it. I don’t know what that means or how to fix it for future submissions? They haven’t replied to my asking for clarification (this happened about a week ago now), so I don’t think I’ll ever figure it out.

I find this to be incredibly insulting, especially coming from a female writer. The person she’s speaking about didn’t need help selling her translation of The Odyssey. It’s been out a while and it was doing fine. I think this is gross and not something I expected from this particular writer.
