Better* than glm-5.2. At home. * — before quantization, which does degrade quality
Unsloth AISmaller DeepSeek-V4-Flash quants are now available to run from 1-bit to 4-bit. Run 3-bit on 128GB RAM, 1-bit on 96GB RAM. Remember full precision is mostly FP4 (4-bit) so 1 to 3-bit are not that quantized. Even more variants are coming very soon: huggingface.co/unsloth/Deep...
Huge bit chasing effort getting colqwen2 into llama.cpp this evening. Mostly around the image processing stack. Not going to be doing in process embedding of images much longer.
Thomas Woodfeels good. covering a lot of ground. Impatient to get started on ACP version 2 rewrite. I just put LFM2.5 ColBERT inside llama.cpp, then ollama because I want their model loading management/maintenance and enormous userbase reliability.

Thomas WoodI'm going to need some kind of openvlsx for zed extensions but yeah two agents side by side working on different parts of the process. Haven't wired up direct agent-agent tools yet. But I'm going to start using unstable v2 asap for crow-cli client and just cope.
I couldn't agree more but I think bootstrapping from interaction is more than good enough for any newcomers to the market. Also this is why open protocols are so important. I own my old posts and host them through my PDS. An agent indexing that can talk to me like they know me.
Ted UnderwoodI continue to think the killer app of AI is help with organization and executive function, and continue to think MSFT and GOOG are positioned for a scary sort of lock-in there. Model quality is much less of a moat than "we have your data."
I'm about to start working on a token co-op for kimi 3 / qwen3.8-max when it's released. Setup aibrix in vultr and start selling coding plan seats.
mr. TIMseems like there’s huge incentive to be a model inference provider right now the prices listed by the lab are basically the going rate, so any optimizations you can make are pure additional profit OpenAI just showed that you can point Sol at an inference stack and save a ton of money
I'm waiting on ACP v2 to really drop before I go nuts nights/weekends updating crow and crow-cli and I'm sort of wondering if I can't get away with deepseek or laguna on the strix halo in the interim. Because I don't need full capacity right now.
philpaxif this is anywhere near as good as it looks, I expect the price of DGX Sparks to go up
So I'm running UD-IQ2_XXS through the code in pr like they say to and the model is generating thinking tokens (which chat template doesn't emit but I can see them because I'm running --verbose w/llamacpp) and it's sitting there saying ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Unsloth AIYou can now run Inkling-Small, a new 276B model by Thinking Machines. Inkling-Small is the strongest open model for its size and runs local on 128GB RAM. Apache-2.0 Licensed, it has image, audio + 1M context support. Guide: unsloth.ai/docs/models/... GGUF: huggingface.co/unsloth/Inkl...
step change in visual reasoning
Nick FisherAnother one here. Performance is choppy and the built-in threejs toon shader does a lot of the heavy lifting, but the coherence of the world is blowing me away. They're also claiming Opus 5, no assets, all drawn from primitives. This is a real step change from last month. github.com/Kenton-GMI/s...
Agriculture reform is Marxist-Leninist coded
Sarah TaberMost of the land in most farm counties is owned by 1-5 families. They run the place like their own personal kingdoms. There is SO much resentment and straight-up fury about this in rural areas. The fact that no political party's even really trying to speak to it is wild.
This reminds me of the name of my favorite punk band
FactPostRFK Jr. suggests Americans can more easily afford groceries if they start eating liver instead of beef: "Most of the cheap cuts of meat are very inexpensive. ... You can buy liver"
I think this will fix the problems with libs, but not the media. Fully endorse.
RowdyThe recoking will come when libs stop spending money on subscriptions or stop tuning in. Like it’s that simple.
My advice: stop waiting for the media to come to their senses. This is who they are. This is who they've always been. Find new pastimes.
Grudgie the WhaleIt’s completely nuts that Trump won by less than 2M votes with near universal media help and worldwide rage at incumbents and the media treated this like a permanent sea change towards MAGA and now less than 2 years later he’s the least popular President in history and there’s no media reckoning

Mei, lvl. 38 Warlock of the Expensive PaperI do think a lot of folks really don't understand that Capitalism is, in fact, a specific kind of economic structure, and not the original sin of mankind. (Redacted cause it's more illustrative of an issue in left-of-center politics and not the posters in particular)
It's been over a year since I started a new account on my own self-hosted PDS. Don't know how true this is. I love it and never intend to go back.
