Dreamed last night that I was called in as a sub for grade 12 science. I was late my first day, couldn't find my classroom, and all I could remember was Pascal's law. I guess that's the adult version of the going to school without pants on dream.

Today is the anniversary of the Great Upheaval in 1755 when the British colonial council in Halifax ordered the expulsion of Acadians because they refused to sign an oath of allegiance to the British Crown. Many migrated to Spanish Louisiana, where "Acadians" eventually became "Cajuns".

Rewatched House of Cards (US version) and finally watched season 6, and understand now why it bombed. Season 6 lost all the subtlety of the show, the writing was ham-handed, the season populated with archetypes and comic book villains. It's a lesson on how to kill a good idea.
