What a shallow view of patriotism to think that ‘love of country’ demands papering over the struggles that brought us to where we are. It’s the diversity of Americans, the opportunity for socioeconomic mobility, and the gradual achievement of freedom and equality that make this country stand out.

We actually had the 16th highest mortality rate in the world and it largely resulted from the ignorant asshats who were *resisting* the common sense protection measures Fauci was promoting like masking and distancing. What a colossal asshole.
