UKers: #RobotDreams will be playing on Film4 this afternoon from 4:40pm if you haven't had the chance to check it out before now. There's also another showing next week or so, so Film4're taking advantage of Those 6 Weeks in Summer to get this airing well~

Bought a UK copy of Disney's "Dumbo" on Laserdisc for very specific research purposes for someone else and it did not have the thing I was looking for that I bought it for... ...now I have to watch "Dumbo" at some point, an awkward prospect in the 21st century so...wish me luck... @.@

Weirdly annoyed that Cineworld actually go out of their way to do something for their 30th anniversary yet the 1990's Rollercoaster ident that they had until their logo change to the Star/Swirl in the early 2000's is nowhere to be found. I SWEAR this was a thing for years!

Yeah, okay, straight up decided to delete the repost on Reddit asking people about good Laserdisc capture methods that don't involve DdD and don't require a coding master's degree and not reposting. I got some of the most toxic comments of my life and for what? Fuck Reddit.

Man, I think when there comes a point when a solution advised by Reddit essentially amounts to "this is beyond my expertise and literally nobody cares about making it parsable to outsiders", then I guess it's time to say "fuck it" and do what I want, haha.

A person who I gently criticised for pushing at me for trying to get the post back on topic responded with an "insult" via...a crude scatalogical chant by a gen-AI pidgeon with human feet and lips. Boy oh boy do I not regret returning to Reddit I kinda want Domesday Duplicators to all just explode

I cannot believe my experience of peeking at digitising a copy of "The Lion King" on VHS, the first time I've seen the film presented through VHS in decades, is turning me deeper into a "oh my gosh, I need to get X and Y to experience this look but cleaner and better" rabbit hole.

An animated short film I threw money at on Kickstarter, around the same time as becoming an Associate Producer for "Turn Back", is now finished & online for all to enjoy! OK, wtf, why didn't anybody tell me how good "Kirby's Epic Yarn" was up to now? I'm not 100% sure why it took me so long to check it out but even if it got a 3DS port, like...I'm kinda stunned that this hasn't had a Switch port too. Though I can imagine waiting to do a Switch 2 one'd be cool...

Almost 20 years ago, we as a family went to the cinema to see "The Devil Wears Prada" on Halloween night because my Mum wasn't feeling doing Halloween that year (Dad's workfriend's suggestion) and we celebrated Halloween every year since and the film became an in-joke. My hell has now frozen over.
