It's pretty easy to setup Ollama and Anywhere LLM to setup your own local RAG and connect it to whatever open source models you want. There is so much that can be done with just text LLMs that people and businesses are missing out on without need for a frontier model. #AI

Good guys vs Bad guys creats a good tension to advance a narrative but is never a great way to describe the complexities of real life. If you create a hero out of someone, eventually they will fail you.

The problem I am looking at is cheaper non-frontier models that will do most of the work most people want off a local machine or small device. This brute force AI and computation may have worked in the past, but it's existentially problematic when it needs this much energy.

Personally I'm waiting for her book in Sept to come out as that is a broader piece about recovering women in classic texts. If I like that, then I'll read her Odyessey. I think she's credibile but I think Nolan's movie was great. A movie can't be everything to everyone.
