Not really sure. I think it's "hot and ready" because they just have a limited menu and have pizzas pre-made and ready to eat. But I could be wrong; I've only eaten there a handful of times.

If a lot of people starve, that government has serious problems, no matter what system you’re living under. Ancient Egypt, feudalism, capitalism, communism, whatever. The method for ensuring that doesn’t happen differs from place to place and time to time but it’s a goal regardless.

One becomes “some,” some becomes “always.” Always be escalating.

And this guy jumps to “liberals will always.”

A handful of conservadems becomes “liberals will always.”

What if a person shoplifts just because they’re antisocial and don’t believe society’s rules should apply to them?

It's not a bad-faith question at all to question whether it's good public policy. You can't hand-wave that away by declaring it to be "obvious." Making sure people have food has been part of government's role since the beginning. But there is plenty of debate over the best method to achieve that.

I didn't QT him; Abughazaleh did. And like it or not, she's a public figure, a former Congressional candidate, posting in a public forum.

I haven’t seen that in his posts. I haven’t seen anything indicating that he disagrees with the goal of feeding people; what I see is somebody skeptical of this particular method of achieving that goal. That’s very different from not seeing the value in feeding people.

The criticism of Stancil’s stance as not seeing the value in feeding people is what’s in bad faith.

This is a really disingenuous take on what Stancil said. People get Will Stancil derangement here.

I’m pretty skeptical that the average Republican would even say this.

I have definitely seen these signs at hotels or even water parks, I think.

When was Barnes hired? Under which mayor? I’m in California but I checked with a Seattle city employee, who’s a regular worker and not the chief of police, and they said they have to go into the office three days a week.

Jurisdictional boundaries can be pretty arbitrary, so I don’t actually favor these kinds of requirements for employees, but having the chief of police live 2,000 miles away is pretty absurd.

Ok this is a little more severe than Ken Jennings commuting to Culver City from Seattle to host “Jeopardy!”
