And like I said, people always state those opinions as if they're objective fact. It's never "I think it was dogshit", it's always "It IS dogshit." And then if you disagree, they just say you have bad taste and opinions.

At this point gaming discourse is nothing but a bunch of pretentious assholes declaring that their opinion is objective and correct and anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot with objectively bad tastes and they should feel bad for it.

Like remember when people got upset that game devs kept making party style games and started calling those kinda games "friendslop?" If you dare protest someone calling a game you like slop, you're just met with "keep consuming slop, piggies. Eat up your slop, simpleton."

I'm so damn frustrated with gaming discourse online. It's impossible to have a proper discussion abiut a game you like, especially if said games are seen as bad in the eyes of the majority. It's also stupid how often the word "slop"is thrown around. It just means "something I don't like" now.
