Europe is warming twice as fast as the global average. Climate change makes extreme fire weather more likely and intense — drying fuels, extending seasons, and turning landscapes into tinderboxes. Wildfires are burning more land, more fiercely, from California to Canada to the Mediterranean.

While some leaders like Mr. Trump point fingers at Canada’s wildfires as if they’re isolated “foreign” problems, the truth is clear: extreme heat and fires are a global crisis fueled by climate change. Borders won’t save us. We must fight together.🧵
