No one who actually cares actually “blames” the Dodgers for this. The problem is obviously the system. But like the Red Sox and Yankees before them, the dodgers will get the hate cuz they’re the front runner. (Doesn’t help that your average Dodger fan is a preening jerk about this stuff.)
Come on. Any other team could get a two month rental. None could afford the price of Skubal in free agency after that. Never mind that most also aren’t bothering with the two month rental precisely because the Dodgers’ spending elsewhere has made it a pointless endeavor.
Look, no one *actually* blames the Dodgers. They’re playing by the rules, etc. but if the front runners can’t stand the hate they shouldn’t be the front runners.
