If someone is a finalist for a job as a professor, they’ve come for a campus visit that’s at least a day long, with meetings and at least one presentation. And I can say from frustrating experience that not all schools send a finalist an email.
MegI don't expect a rejection email for every application I send. But ffs if we meet, you owe it to me to say I'm not getting the job.
