Call me crazy but I don't think you should be allowed to hire a public official who commutes from halfway across the country

The Seattle Chief of Police is a guy who works on a hybrid / remote work schedule from his home in Chicago. This isn't his home, he commutes here for work. He makes $370k. We spend half a billion a year on SPD at the major detriment of everything else. I don't think it's possible to reform SPD.
