Yeeeep. Even if you're wearing full gear, the littlest accident can be deadly or life-altering. Even if it's not their fault. That people will then ride motorcycles without a helmet, and sometimes even without long sleeves and pants, absolutely shocks me. They have no sense of self preservation.

Having rode motorcycles, long sleeves and pants aren't doing anything at speeds above what the most casual bicyclist can reach. Having been in double digit motorcycle accidents, real gear can at least keep the skin on even if bones still turn to gravel.
