I wonder if they’ll do anymore standalone Gamecube rereleases a la Pikmin 1 and 2 and Metroid Prime Remastered or if all future ones will be on NSO instead.

I’m afraid if they were to rerelease Melee they’d crack down harder on competitive scenes playing the games off of SD Cards and USB drives. But I feel like Melee would be more suited to a standalone rerelease, in regards to the input delay present in some NSO Gamecube games.

I wonder that too.. it feels like NSO is for everything on GameCube too small to justify a full on remake/port. But also I don’t think inclusion in one means the other can’t happen. They just wait to add certain games if it conflicts with a remake but is otherwise simple to put up there like PMD GBA

I could see either happening. Nintendo is crazy with NSO. Releasing Mario VS DK onto it a month or so after the remake came out is still so wild to me.
