After I finished Saros, I found out it drew inspiration from The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers. Now that I've read that (it's a trip for anyone interested), I've discovered SIGNALIS also was inspired by the short stories. I guess I know what is going on the wishlist. I love things like this.
