My wife and I watched The Odyssey last night, and one of my first comments was that Nolan either hates women or really, truly has no idea how to develop female characters.
Jeff VanderMeerShe writes, basically, that Nolan has removed complexity from the women characters in contrast to the original plus made Odysseus himself less clever and less funny. Those seem like things that are either true or aren't, but a lot of people haven't read The Odyssey while Wilson ABSOLUTELY HAS lol
