You are right, Laura. Even with the best palliative care, there will still be a need for Assisted dying. This bill must not be allowed to fall. Thank you for your efforts.
Thank you for continuing this. I knew I wanted to decide the time of my own death since the death of my father when I was 12, I am now in my early 60s. Assisted dying is a very long considered decision for many. The Commons has also voted. This new PM for ‘all’ needs to honour the vote.

Problem with this argument is that current Bill has FIXED 4-year implementation period,not dependent on ensuring iniversal access to pall/soc care. This was not an accident, but a policy choice. A palliative care access PMB wld have made more sense, but then I wld say that..(and did say that)
What if it's not ready in 4 years? Your Bill will auto-commence come what may (even if we have another global pandemic)
Nor is your Bill limited to those who cannot be helped by palliative care
