Except in humans at least that’s false. Rarely a person assigned male at birth (Male genitalia) has one ovary (we all have 2 gonads which develop in ovaries or testes. 🤷) With HRT the could produce eggs. 🤷 They may also have a uterus & cervix. It’s a form of Persistent Mullerian duck syndrome.
