I always credit this book for starting me on my book journey. Baldwin took me down so many rabbit holes, I realized I wasn't smart enough yet to really grasp what he was saying. Baldwin was born 102 years ago today, and I owe his layered writing basically everything. Happy birthday James Baldwin
