Like any other worker, an intersex employee’s talents and contributions should be what counts—not others’ biased beliefs about who ‘counts’ as male or female. These forms of sex discrimination will have consequences.
ACLUBREAKING: We’ve filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of Shepard Scalf, a teacher who was fired without cause because he is intersex. Firing people because of their identity is illegal discrimination, plain and simple.
