It’s absolutely possible that TVs’ prices skyrocket too.

I suppose, but there's already a lot of resentment over the fact that TVs can simply become outdated in a matter of a few years. With the extra cost, I think gamers depending on what type will either opt to stick with mobile games, use game streaming services, or just buy a PC.

The majority of “smart“ tvs are just oversized android tablets so unless those can perform on par with consoles i don’t think it’s really the answer
