One wonderful practice by the DOT during Biden/Buttigieg was the planting of pollinator-friendly plants in the medians of interstate highways. Didn’t cost much but contributed greatly to populations of butterflies and bees. I guess that’s probably been stopped out of ignorance and irresponsibility.
