It's true that the commercial failure of IMPOSSIBLE PRINCESS (the so-called "Indie Kylie" record from '97 which is impressive, IMO), did convince her to swerve back into shimmering dance-pop But I don't think anything Kylie did on FEVER (or since) is just checking off pop boxes
