The particular communion bread we used is one I've never seen anywhere else. It was formed in a long narrow rectangle, kind of like a slightly shorter and narrower stick of gum, with a perforation in the middle for breaking to serve your neighbor. 2/x

I never took communion then, but afterwards when we were cleaning up I would collect the extras to snack on. It was pale, with no browning I can remember. Flat of course, and pretty dense, but IIRC also a little soft and chewy. Kind of like a thick cooked noodle if it somehow managed to be dry. 3/x

I occasionally still crave it for snackings. Does anybody know the recipe for the ones I remember? Just from visual inspection this is the closest I've seen so far. www.justapinch.com/recipes/brea... 4/4

Bread For Communion - UnleavenedIf you belong to a larger church, you can double or triple the recipe. Some people like to have the bread round instead square, you can do both.www.justapinch.com
