The refusal to come clean about Mitch McConnell's status is a cover up and it's fraud. It is possible, though, that he is neither dead nor on life support, but has brain damage from oxygen deprivation, such as that caused by stroke. They could hope he recovers enough to make a statement.

My working hypothesis is that he’s got severe brain damage from whatever his medical incident was and is largely comatose, and his people are hiding it because they’re desperately hoping he’ll get better soon. But at some point it will be impossible to keep hidden.

Is it a crime to cover up a death? Is anyone reminding Mitch's staff AND Elaine Chao DAILY of this?
