The thing is the US has been running on govt deficits for ten years now. Other countries might be still constrained but in US the "bond vigilantes" have been 6ft underground. Massive govt deficits means someone is getting massive subsidies. And in the US its corpos.
kyle tear down that highway lucas 🏳️🌈My not-so-hot take is that what Mamdani is doing *IS* incrementalism, and the bar is so deeply in hell that a politician just doing *anything* good consistently is a total anomaly for people. And I think for now that is good and fine, because it is restoring people’s faith that better is possible.
