Yep. The reporter says that the lawyer didn't "invoke attorney-client privilege," but the lawyer doesn't invoke that; the client does. The lawyer is obligated not to reveal "any information relating to a represention" anyway per Rule 1.6. This lawyer was protecting the client, not insulting him.
