On this day in 1874, Alice Duer Miller was born. She became a poet, playwright, and novelist. From 1914 to 1917, she used her witty NY Tribune column to argue for woman suffrage. She titled the column: Are Women People? New York finally ended sex-based disenfranchisement in 1917. #WeTheMen
