On this day in 1920, Bella Abzug was born. She spent her life championing feminism & civil rights. When Abzug first ran for Congress in 1970, she declared: “This woman’s place is in the House . . . the House of Representatives!” She won & many female candidates have repeated her slogan. #WeTheMen
