Sorry but that is pretty much useless for modern audiences since it does not examine elected legislators' climate change comments over time. There was a dramatic shift between Democratic and Republican approaches to the climate crisis post-2000 and very pronounced post-2016.

Charts like these explain the contrast well, but even these direct contributions to politicians do not capture the massive PAC spending by the fossil fuel industry on behalf of the Republican Party. I'm not saying that Democrats were immune to their influence, but have grown more so tremendously.
