By applying for a cheaper listing in my apartment building, I was able to get the rent for my 1-bdrm reduced from $2750 to $2400, meaning it's now only $1000/month more than what I was paying for a TWO bedroom in downtown Edmonton, before I moved here. Phew! Crisis over!
