Your empathy is welcome and the kindest response. 29 homes lost in our village. The heartbreak and loss that causes, especially to the elderly is horrible. Souvenires, pictures, all gone.
Victor LuftigI'm sorry for those losses. Necessary to pause and think of the grief associated with every home lost--there and elsewhere, to fire and otherwise. (I live in a place haunted by evictions from 100 years ago and 300 years ago.) Climate change will bring many thousands more.
