I live in the beautiful Powderhorn Park neighborhood a couple of miles from Renee. I wish I had known her--such a kind and loving mom, wife, dog mom and fierce advocate for the Somali neighbors who I also know to be hardworking and kind. This ICE officer killed her in cold blood and bereaved us all.

I am so glad to see these supporters showing up at this scene so quickly after it happened. We can’t let time sneak its way in between these crimes and our collective power to protest in outrage.
