I do forget that Wicked really isn't a prequel and actually runs parallel to Wizard of Oz (haven't seen the new movie yet). There actually ARE multiple sequels to Wicked--I've only read Son Of A Witch, it's very good--but yeah I'm with you on all fronts here.
